*ALAS!!! Rev Father Ejike Mbaka ATTAINS A NEW SCORECARD*
Thus says the Lord of Hosts, *“Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the Lord.”* Jeremiah 23:16. The above quote from the Holy Bible clearly describes the events of Sunday, 2nd December, 2018 which took place at the Adoration Ministries Enugu Nigeria, where Rev. Father Ejike Mbaka was caught on tape swearing at and castigating the Vice Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, His Excellency, Mr. Peter Obi, for not publicly donating towards one of the projects in his church. https://youtu.be/uh6MhyMZfpQ
In rarity, Nigerians have been united across religious inclinations and tribes in total condemnation of the actions of Rev. Father Mbaka which was ill-motivated towards extortion and self-aggrandizement. What is even more disheartening to many is the furious reaction of the reverend to prophesy doom on the Presidential flag bearer of the PDP in the forthcoming elections for the mere reason of not donating and mentioning a figure in public which seems even more rationale for one running for a public office.
Right in the depth of disparagement, the gentlemanly attitude displayed by Peter Obi has once again endeared him to many. In the face of constant vituperation, he was cool, calm and collected, thereby exposing Mbaka’s ignominious desperation and selfish projections. In a twist of fate, how did governor Ganduje of Kano state, a man caught on tape asking and receiving bribe become a saint because he was in attendance and even donated towards the project, while doom was spelled out to those who did not? This is a sad development indeed and a slap to every well-meaning Nigerian especially the Christians.
Mbaka made it obvious that his “favorable” prophesies were dependent on the magnitude of gifts he received from aspiring political office holders. What morals does he have to offer his congregation when all that interests him is how to structurally improve his church compound and nothing else? The Catholic community should call him to order before he becomes uncontrollable.
Unsurprisingly, the same Mbaka prophesied that Tony Nwoye of the All Progressive Congress, APC, was going to win the Anambra governorship elections "which would have come after the pilgrimage visit to him and donations to his ministry" but thankfully, his predictions failed woefully. Hence, the revived hope that his prophecy is completely false and psychological strategy to make good his extortion capabilities.
The forthcoming general elections in 2019 will expose so many prophets of doom who are after their pockets and have made their belly gods. Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth to disrepute, in their greed will exploit people with fabricated stories all in the name of prophesies. Although their condemnation is not far off but it would be unfortunate for one to fall victims to these wolves in sheep clothing.
