BRUTAL KILLINGS IN NIGERIA ON THE RISE, MANIFESTATION OF A FAILED, INCOMPETENT PRESIDENT – A CALL FOR INTERNATIONAL INTERVENTION.

The basic responsibility of any government is ensuring security of lives and property as well as provision of social amenities for her citizens. In the 21st century context, the development/prosperity of a nation is primarily driven by an assurance of security and guaranteed unity of purpose among the people.

Nigeria, with reference to her political journey through independence in 1960 to this day, has been bedeviled by series of challenges on its path to progress. However the eye peeling evidence over the last four years has pointed to a glaring political and economical degradation suggestive of a clueless and futuristically bereft government. Like a malignant cancer, General Muhammadu Buhari assumption into office as President- has been punctuated with vicious and brutal incessant killings of Nigerian commuters to levels of unprecedented status.

Routes like the Enugu – Abuja road have become a deathtrap densely punctuated with sporadic and spontaneous gory massacre by the deadly, bloodthirsty, gun wielding, cattle herding cult known as Fulani herdsmen.
Eyewitness account puts the weekly murder toll arising from these consistent and unhindered attacks at dozens while Nigeria's military and security forces remain unperturbed by the escalating murder rate.

The resounding questions begging for answers by well meaning Nigerians is "where is the president in the midst of these terrible killings? When will he intervene and restructure the failed security architecture of the nation?"

It is of essence PMB understands the unimaginable killings perpetrated by Fulani herdsmen under his administration. His continuous mute mode in the face of these adversities speaks volume of his negligence. A nation without justice and security, increased unemployment, nose diving economy, as well as having the tag as the poverty capital of the world is a strong potential for looming danger, anarchy and disrespect for rule of law.

It is established that the President has little or no desire to nip this dastardly acts in the bud even as billions of naira are carved out for security annually. It is about time Nigerians rose to defend Nigeria from PMB's obvious failed leadership as the future is uncertain for Nigerians with these outrageous killings.

The attention of the African Union, ECOWAS, United Nations, United States of America, European Union, President Donald J. Trump, Israel, Great Britain, Germany, France and other international organisations are drawn to the looming danger in Nigeria caused by the incessant killings and insecurity witnessed.

THE WORLD NEEDS TO SAVE NIGERIA NOW!
