EFCC : TO REDRESS THEIR ENDEMIC MALADY OR RISK BEING OBLITERATED
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) just like the ICPC is an organization set up by the former President of Nigeria, CHIEF Olusegun Obasanjo to fight corruption but it is unfortunate and very disheartening that the supposed anti-corruption organization is now acting as a corrupt organization. This could be attributed to the calibre of individuals that make up the organization.
In fairness to truth and objectivity, there is currently no organization in Nigeria that is as corrupt as the #EFCC because they are bias in most of their functions, hence it is suggested they should be overhauled or otherwise dissolved.
From all factual indications, it seems as if #APC members are above corruption and as such EFCC-PROOF, if not, there is no reason why some hardened criminals or deviants in other parties would become saints once they defected to APC. Some persons like the former Governor of Rivers State, Hon. Min. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi after everything he did in his state, subsequently joined APC, and his sins were overlooked. ADAMS Oshiomole, the current chairman of APC, after all he did when he was the governor of Edo State including his callous treatment and cruel attitude towards the less privileged and a widow in particular that he asked to go and die as she ran to him for succor, yet he has not been condemned or castigated in any way. An alarming example also is Lai Mohammed, the Minister of Culture and Information who has done nothing less than painting evil good in the country, yet no measures have been taken against him, same is applicable to people like Tinubu, El Rufai, Fashola and others who have been wantonly treacherous yet no investigation have been conducted on any of these aforementioned cabals.
On the contrary, if the culprit is from any other party, he would be condemned, humiliated and punished. For instance, Peter Ayodele Fayose who was arraigned, also Diezani Alison Madueke, just to mention but a few people EFCC has interogated and condemned.
Nevertheless, considering the above lopsided, ill and unjust activities of EFCC, lots of Nigerians are of the opinion that the EFCC be dissolved and banned from functioning so that Nigerians would know that there is nothing like that because they are corrupt, lopsided, unjust, bias and partisan.
