FOREIGN MEDICAL TRIPS BY INSENSITIVE LEADERS AND THE GROSS UNDER DEVELOPMENT OF HEALTH FACILITIES IN NIGERIA

Indeed, the Coronavirus pandemic is ravaging the world with no exception of Nigeria where it has increased drastically within the last few weeks. The country has recorded over 200 cases with 4 deaths according to the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) as at April 4, 2020.

It is painstaking to see how highly dispirited and corrupt Nigerian politicians are provided overwhelming level of medical attention by the Great Britain. It is quite unfortunate that the President of Nigeria, General Muhammadu Buhari and some top politicians in his cabinet has continued to receive medical treatments from United Kingdom despite their greed and callousness leading to decayed infrastructure in Nigeria. Nigerians are totally upset because the President and his cohort as they vamoosed the country after overwhelmed despoiling of the nation's wealth to seek medical help in UK.

The most vexatious side of it is the United Kingdom accepting these terrible and corrupt politicians such as President Buhari and his cohort. PM Boris Johnson who is doing a great job for his country is implored to intervene and stop providing medical aid to these Nigerian Leaders who have destroyed the country and run to them for help. This would go a long way helping them to fix Nigeria because the masses are undergoing unimaginable suffering while the leaders loot the nation. If these nefarious leaders are rejected by some of these countries with better infrastructures such as United Kingdom, Germany, France etc, they will as a matter of no option divert the huge sums embezzled and wasted on irrelevancies such as purchasing 2020 Toyota Camry model car worth about N20 Million each for about 474 legislators in this trying time when the world is battling with Covid-19 pandemic. This is absolute show of wickedness and no regard for the suffering masses who have received no palliative from the Government in the midst of this world health crisis. The Nigerian seat of power should immediately move to provide financial support to the 40 million BVN accounts registered with banks in Nigeria. That's what is expected of a responsible government for her citizens in the face of such huge health crisis.

Amidst the covid-19 pandemic, The Nigerian government are purchasing outrageous amount of cars while the masses are suffering immensely due to increment in prices of food stuff. Some essential food items such as garri, yam, beans etc have doubled their prices while some others have tripled. Some states such as Lagos, Ogun and Tue FCT Abuja are locked down with little or no relief packages for the masses to survive as some other great nations such as the United State have done.

The Nigerians in diaspora particularly the IPOB are also encouraged to continue in their peaceful protest about the evil and terrible happenings in Nigeria, informing the world that no positive impact is emanating from the country's leadership as her citizens are dying of hunger, total electricity outage and criminality on the increase.

It's quite unfortunate that the South Eastern part of Nigeria are suffering the most. How many test centers are available in the region? There are no single good roads in the East. People of good conscience are urged to join the fight against evil in the country. Indeed, there is great problem in Nigeria as things are falling apart.
