JERUSALEM — Rude shock still reverberates across the spines of many following the bill to outlaw any talk about ‘Jesus’ in Israel proposed by Israeli lawmakers Moshe Gafni and Yaakov Asher. The bill if passed into law is seeking to punish offenders with a one – year prison sentence, if the discussion is with an adult and 2 years imprisonment if shared with a minor (under 18 years). These controversial legislators who are ultra-unorthodox members of Jewish kressnet from the United Torah Judaism Party have a dwindling reputation for profanity. Seemingly steering their political careers towards a brickwall.
This barbaric bill is aimed at making it illegal for Christians to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ much to the consternation of the believers in Him as the Messiah. This has attracted wide criticisms from Christians across the world calling for their immediate resignation.
In a swift reaction on Wednesday, 22nd March 2023, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on his official Twitter handle, condemned in strong terms this bill, reassuring the public it won’t be approved this is highly commendable as it comes against his ally, Gafni who heads the parliament’s Finance Committee.

Israel must not frolick with crass westernization owing to the danger it portends on moral sanctity of the nation and her citizens. The future of the youths and all must not be given away to the guile of wokeness which has done more harm than good. Christians must stay woke to all forms of discrimination and condemn in strong terms every act to undermine this revered religion.
