TOTAL VIOLATION OF COVID-19 GUIDING RULES AT BURIAL OF NIGERIA CHIEF OF STAFF, ABBA KYARI.
The Chief of Staff to Nigeria President Mallam Abba Kyari passed on as a result of Covid-19 complications on April 17th 2020. He was buried at Gudu Cemetery on Saturday April 18th 2020 according to Islamic rites.

A critical look at the events that transpired indicated that the Federal Government absolutely violated all their laid down rules to prevent the spread of Covid-19 pandemic in Nigeria during the burial.

First, the former Chief of Staff was flown from Abuja to Lagos for treatment in a private hospital at First Cardiology in Ikoyi, Lagos despite isolating other positive members of the public in isolation centres. After his death, his Covid-19 positive body was flown back to the Federal Capital Territory from Lagos for burial which is contrary to releasing Covid-19 dead bodies for burial.

Secondly, tremendous number of persons gathered for the burial effectively breaking their rule that not more than 20 or 50 persons can gather at a point in time. Recall that security agencies in various states assaulted Christian worshipers, molesting and bruising them with absolute disregard for the House of God. It must be noted that all those involved in the maltreatment of Christians in the guise of fight against covid-19 in Nigeria will face the full wrath of the Almighty God. All the rules of social distancing that the government is enforcing on the population were blatantly broken. All those present at the burial should be immediately isolated to prevent terrible outbreak of the pandemic in Abuja.

Furthermore, the depth of the grave was shallow as the body was laid at Gudu Cemetery, Abuja thus exposing residents of Gudu community to Covid-19. It was observed as one of the support personnel for the burial was seen touching the dead body whilst helping the workers in PPE. It was an absolute show of poor management of Covid-19 pandemic strategy in Nigeria.
Many of the people in PPE were observed touching their faces and goggles after laying the COVID-19 positive body into the shallow grave and improperly disposing the used PPEs.

The NCDC and genuine Nigerians must speak up and condemn the hypocrisy of Nigeria Federal Government who failed woefully in managing the Covid-19 positive body of the late chief of staff to President Muhammadu Buhari. The law is not meant for the poor alone but for all and sundry. It is time to act positively.
