UNITED STATES SPECULATED VISA BAN ON NIGERIA – EVIDENCE OF FAILED LEADERSHIP.

Series of speculations have continued to emerge on the proposed addition of #Africa's most populous nation (Nigeria) to the list of countries banned of entry into the United States. The #Trump administration issued its first travel ban in 2017 which was upheld by the U.S Supreme Court. This was with regards to the significant terrorist presence within the territory of those countries and deficient immigration screening processes.

In the light of unimaginable terrible tendencies and happenings in #Nigeria, the nation has come to fore with notable crimes as a result of failed leadership. The Supreme Court of Nigeria, Abuja, FCT. has been bastardized by #Buhari's administration with the worst been the verdict which recently ousted duly elected Governor of Imo State, Hon Emeka Ihedioha of Official Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Nigeria, replacing him with a fourth position candidate in the election, Hope Uzodinma of All Progressives Congress APC – the ruling party by accepting a fake witness of a single police officer. What a disgrace!

The seven #SupremeCourt judges that gave this evil verdict and their other counterparts, example, the case of Atiku Abubakar and Muhammadu Buhari should be banned from entering the #UnitedStates to serve as a deterrent to others.

The Buhari led administration has failed woefully in the three cardinal points on which he deceitfully rode to power (security, economy and fight against corruption). Under his watch since 2015, thousands of #Nigerians and mostly #Christians from Southern Nigeria and Middle belt regions have been murdered in cold blood in their farms, houses, offices etc by #BokoHaram and #Fulani herdsmen without any outstanding action by the president to bring the perpetrators to book. He (Buhari) has continued to exhibit soft touch for his kinsmen (Fulani herdsmen – the fourth deadliest terrorist group in the world) through his deradicalization initiative in which captured terrorists are released back into the society by the president. In the guise of such callous initiative, this has lead to increased killing of Christians in Nigeria.

In addition, Africa's best economy in 2014 under former President Dr. Goodluck Jonathan has within three years of Buhari's administration become the poverty capital of the world. In the 2019 released report of Transparency International, Nigeria was ranked 146 out of 180 countries. The stinking level of corruption breeding under the nose of the president is unimaginable. The Buhari led administration must be called into account as he has committed terrible crimes far exceeding that of Augusto Pinochet, Idi Amin, Robert Mugabe and many others who were charged at International Criminal Court – ICC

It is worthy of note that the speculated travel ban if effected will drastically affect Nigeria's economy. The Nigerian President must as a matter of urgency redress his steps. It is time to relieve the service chiefs of their duties and replace them with men who will work hard to ensure the security of the citizens. Nigerians cannot afford another level of international sanction from the most powerful nation in the world in the midst of her geometrically growing insecurity, poverty, dwindling economy and extensive corruption. It is time for Buhari to redeem the broken image of Nigeria because it becomes late.
